Nominate faculty members for outstanding graduate student teaching and mentoring

Do you know a Case Western Reserve University faculty member who is an outstanding teacher or mentor to graduate students? Nominate them for the prestigious John S. Diekhoff Awards for Graduate Teaching and Mentoring.

The John S. Diekhoff Award is presented annually to four full-time faculty members who make exemplary contributions to the education and development of graduate students at Case Western Reserve.

Nomination criteria:

  • Eligible professors must have a primary (or secondary) faculty appointment in a department awarding degrees through the School of Graduate Studies.
  • Eligible professors must have taught a graduate course, advised or mentored graduate students in graduate studies programs.
  • Professors are not eligible if they’ve won the same award in the past four years (view the list of past recipients).
  • Persons making nominations should be directly advised, mentored or taught by the professor. Others (professors, postdocs, administrators, etc.) may also nominate a professor, but they should be able to provide all information asked on the nomination form.

Nominations must be submitted by Sunday, Jan. 21. Complete the submission form.

Individuals may nominate more than one professor and there is no limit to the number of nominations you can submit.
