Recommend faculty members for Frank and Dorothy Humel Hovorka Prize

Provost Ben Vinson III has announced the opportunity to submit nominations for the 2019 Frank and Dorothy Humel Hovorka Prize to be presented at commencement exercises in May.

The prize was established to recognize an active or emeritus member of the faculty whose “exceptional achievements in teaching, research, and scholarly service have benefited the community, the nation, and the world,” as stated by Humel Hovorka when she established the award.

Confidential nominations—consisting of a two- to three-page letter and the nominee’s CV or other biographical description—to be considered for this year’s award are to be submitted by March 15 to lois.langell@case.edu.

A nomination form (which is not required) is available on the Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs website.
