Next implicit bias workshop to focus on Native Americans

The Organizational Development and Learning Unit of the Department of Human Resources will continue its brown bag lunch series on implicit bias on Tuesday, March 10, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 209. Valerie Haywood, faculty member in the Department of Biology, and Bruce Kafer, a PhD student in the School of Nursing, will facilitate this session, which will focus on Native Americans.

The series on implicit bias comprises 15 individual sessions, based on the Implicit Association Test. Participants will be invited to take the assessment on each of topic prior to the related subject matter presentation. Individuals are not required to take every workshop.

The series began in January and will continue through May on the second, third and fourth Tuesday of the month.

Participants are invited to bring a lunch to the sessions.
