Next implicit bias session to focus on race

The Organizational Development & Learning Unit of the Department of Human Resources will continue its brown bag series on implicit bias Tuesday, May 12, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 209.

Janetta Hammock, diversity program manager, and Elizabeth Roccoforte, director of the LGBT Center, will facilitate this session, which will focus on race bias.

The series on implicit bias comprises 15 individual sessions, based on the Implicit Association Test. Participants will be invited to take the assessment on the upcoming topic prior to the related subject matter presentation. Individuals are not required to take every workshop.

The sessions will be held on the second, third and fourth Tuesday of the month, beginning in January and concluding in May.

Participants can bring lunches during these workshops. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
