Learn about building community at CWRU during Friday event

On Friday, Nov. 16, the Case Western Reserve University Share the Vision Committee will sponsor the community hour program, Building Community at CWRU. The program is designed to celebrate Share the Vision’s message and affirmations and underscore the ways in which cooperation can help realize a just and humane campus community.

Several interactive activities will help students, faculty and staff examine their roles in working toward an ideal academic community. Activities will include a cooperative Lego build, an opportunity to express personal commitment and a photo shoot.

Patrick Vaughn, winner of the 2012 Share the Vision Student Leadership Award, will be the keynote speaker.

The event will take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Thwing Center atrium and will include a free lunch from Aladdin’s.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Academic Integrity Board, the LGBT Center, the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning, the Center for International Affairs, the Interreligious Council and several others will host tables.
