Case Western Reserve University to debut new ‘Spartie’ mascot
The Plain Dealer: Case Western Reserve University will soon debut a new mascot, “Spartie,” to join the university’s Spartan. “Over the last couple years we have been trying to get a more gender-neutral position,” said Colleen Barker-Williamson, director of programs at Thwing Center. “It will be more anonymous and we want the students to have sort of a character mascot.”
