Shaikh, professor of neurology at the School of Medicine, found that it’s crucial to measure other factors before claiming that exercise alone can reduce your risk of developing dementia. “In other words, if a person not only exercises daily but also remains mentally and physically active throughout the day, the cumulative effect would likely correlate with a higher chance of preventing dementia,” he said.
