The LGBT Center will host Work it Out!—a relaxed, professional forum for students interested in learning more about what it means to be an LGBT person or ally in the workplace. The event will also provide a great opportunity to network.
Work It Out! will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 6-8 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center, Kelvin & Eleanor Smith Ballroom A.
The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres, followed by a brief presentation given by the Career Center. It will focus on networking skills and resources available to the LGBT community, both on and off campus, to aid in the job search.
Next, professional guests from a diverse set of industries will be stationed at different tables. Students will be arranged into groups and will rotate through each station for the rest of the time. This will be the majority of the program, and will provide students with an excellent opportunity to voice their questions and concerns about being true to themselves in life after CWRU.
Online registration for the event is required.
This event is sponsored by the Career Center and the Alumni Association.
