“Natural Sciences at a Distance: Engaging and Assessing Online Science Students”

[U]Tech’s Teaching + Learning Technologies team is hosting a webinar with strategies for designing effective online learning activities for science courses.

“Natural Sciences at a Distance: Engaging and Assessing Online Science Students” will be held Thursday, April 9, from 3-4:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The webinar draws on work by faculty at SUNY Empire State College who have developed more than 30 fully online natural science courses that integrate science content with process skills and meet relevant course objectives. Participants will hear about innovative ways to engage and assess students using a variety of approaches. The webinar will also include examples of ways to include laboratory experiences in online courses.

A Q&A portion will allow time to discuss specific courses and to share ideas and resources.

To participate, email Auriel Benford at axb1030@case.edu to RSVP and receive the Zoom link.
