The Office of Faculty Development invites faculty members who plan to apply for a 2020 National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award to participate in a grant-writing program co-coordinated with the Writing Resource Center. The program will provide a wide range of support resources for proposal development, and will conclude in June with proposal submission to a mock panel of experienced NSF reviewers. Participants will also receive individual access to a Writing Resource Center faculty consultant.
The program facilitators will be:
- Sarah de Swart, director of faculty development;
- Joseph F. Koonce, professor emeritus in the Department of Biology;
- Megan Jewell, director of the Writing Resource Center and instructor of English; and
- John Wiehl, English/SAGES program faculty membre and lecturer of English.
The program will begin with an introductory meeting Nov. 22 from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in the Thwing Center’s Cleveland Room. RSVP for the kickoff meeting via CampusGroups by Nov. 15.
