National Postdoc Appreciation Week

In honor of the significant contributions that the postdoctoral scholars and fellows make here at CWRU, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, in partnership with the Professional Development Center in the School of Graduate Studies, announces events planned for National Postdoc Appreciation Week Sept. 19-23.

The following events will be held:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 20: Ellen Burts-Cooper, instructor in the Weatherhead School of Manadement and senior managing partner of Improve Consulting and Training Group, will give a talk titled “Creating a Career Pathway” from 4 to 6 p.m. in DeGrace Hall, Room 312.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 20: Happy hour reception at the Jolly Scholar in Thwing Center, featuring free food and drinks for postdocs beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 22: Free tours of the Larry Sears and Sally Zlotnick Sears think[box] in the Richey Mixon Building will be held at 11:30 a.m., noon and 12:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 23: “Thanks-A-Latte,” featuring free coffee and doughnuts for postdocs, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Biomedical Research Building first floor lobby.
