Volunteer at Cleveland public middle and high school classes on National DNA Day

Are you interested in promoting STEM education in middle and high school students? Do you want to get involved with supporting the local education system? Or do you just really, really like genetics?

Celebrate National DNA Day Monday, April 25, which commemorates the completion of the Human Genome Project in April 2003 and the discovery of the DNA double helix in 1953.

Members of the CWRU community are invited to visit Cleveland public middle and high school classes, and demonstrate a strawberry DNA extraction experiment with the students. This is also an opportunity to discuss your work/research and career paths in science.

Sign up to volunteer by Monday, April 4.
