Nathan B. Kruse was recently appointed professor and chair of the Department of Music at the College of Arts and Sciences.
Kruse, who was promoted from associate professor and associate chair, replaced David Rothenberg after nine years of service. Rothenberg remains on the faculty.
Since arriving at CWRU in 2013, Kruse has taught research methods, the sociology of music education, vernacular music and classroom guitar. His research interests include adult music education and lifespan learning, ethnographic traditions of community music, and informal music-learning.
