Cleveland Orchestra books a night at the Bates Motel with live ‘Psycho’ performance

The Plain Dealer: The Cleveland Orchestra performed a live accompaniment to the classic horror film Psycho. “We have to figure out which part of [Bernard] Hermann’s score actually tells us what’s going on,” Daniel Goldmark, associate professor of musicology, explained. “You have to really pay attention carefully. He gives us a lot of insight into where the story’s headed without giving anything away.”
