Music education doctoral student named Ohio Outstanding Music Educator

Barry Hartz, a Case Western Reserve University doctoral student in music education, has been selected as the Ohio Outstanding Music Educator. He will receive this award after 30 years of directing band.

This spring, Hartz intends to retire from South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools and continue his PhD study.

Hartz will receive the award at the Ohio Music Education Association Annual Professional Development Conference in Columbus on Feb. 7.
