Multiple University Technology services to experience short outages

Multiple University Technology ([U]Tech) services will undergo scheduled maintenance this weekend, resulting in short outages.

The following services will be unavailable during the specified timeframes.

PeopleSoft Human Capital Management

PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) will be unavailable beginning today (Friday, Oct. 26) at 7 p.m. until Saturday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m.

HCM is an administrative database used for employee records, employee benefits and payroll.

PeopleSoft Financials

PeopleSoft Financials will be unavailable Saturday, Oct. 27, from 3 to 9 a.m.

PeopleSoft Financials is used for creating and inquiring on financial journals, payment requests and requisitions.

Turnitin and iThenticate

Turnitin and iThenticate will be unavailable Sunday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 5:30 a.m.

Turnitin is the plagiarism detection tool accessed through Canvas. During the maintenance period, students and instructors will be unable to submit or grade.

iThenticate is a plagiarism detection software for scholarly research. Faculty, post-doctoral scholars and graduate students can use the software when completing grant applications and texts for scholarly publication. During the outage, users will be unable to access the system or its database.

Kelvin Smith Library Database

The Kelvin Smith Library Database will be unavailable Monday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 6 a.m. Library Applications and the Library Room Booking System will be unavailable during this time.
