The Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Engagement‘s Annual Welcome Reception for Case Western Reserve University multicultural students, faculty and staff will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Adelbert Hall lobby.
The CWRU community is invited to attend and help welcome new multicultural students, staff and faculty to campus. This reception also provides an opportunity to meet Vice President Robert Solomon, establish new acquaintances, build relationships across campus and reconnect with friends.

Power of Diversity Lecture Series
The Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Engagement sponsors the Power of Diversity Lecture Series to inspire campus dialogue, community engagement and civic education and learning about the national narrative on diversity and inclusion. Now in its 10th year, the series includes distinguished guest speakers from the national and international scene, as well as members of the CWRU campus community.
- Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 4 p.m.: “What Is Next with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Higher Education”
- A panel discussion featuring Robert L. Solomon, vice president for diversity, equity and inclusive engagement,; Phillip “Flapp” Cockrell, vice president for campus engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion at Cleveland State University; and Randi Congleton, chief diversity and inclusion officer at Baldwin Wallace University.
- Friday, Nov. 10, at 12:30 p.m.: A lecture by Keri November, full-time lecturer of American Sign Language at CWRU.
- Thursday, Oct. 5, at 4 p.m.: Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration featuring Claudia Cruz
