A group of Case Western Reserve University researchers published an article on single-use biosensor fabrication in Scientific Reports, titled “Advanced fabrication of biosensor on detection of Glypican-1 using S-Acetylmercaptosuccinic anhydride (SAMSA) modification of antibody.”
The team developed a new method for single-use biosensor fabrication, significantly increasing its time-efficiency and sensitivity. The developed method can be applied for other biomarkers and suitable for clinical routine use. Their research demonstrates the capability of this biosensor platform by detection of Glypican-1, a biomarker of pancreatic cancer.
