The Writing Resource Center will host an all-campus workshop titled “Moving Beyond the Five Paragraph Essay” Friday, Sept. 22, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Bellflower Hall.
This workshop is particularly designed for first-year students and students taking Academic Inquiry Seminars. The presenters will help students consider reasons why academic writers use the five-paragraph essay and present some reasons why they might benefit from moving beyond it.
