The Plain Dealer: In light of the recent shooting in Newtown, Conn., Daniel Flannery, director of Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, said there is no distinctive profile of someone who kills multiple people in a school or what triggers the attack. “For anybody to … say there isn’t a mental health problem is probably naive,” he said. “But to then conclude the mental health issue causes them to do this is probably a leap. You can’t rush to judgment.”
