Join MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) and the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women for the next meeting Friday, March 24, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 248.
At the last MOMS meeting, the group discussed diversity in children’s literature and having conversations about human differences with children.
As part of that conversation, the group talked about gender roles. The March 24 meeting, titled “Gender Roles and Children,” will follow up on that conversation.
The following questions will be discussed:
- How do we support the gender expression of children while fighting negative stereotypes?
- What responsibilities do we have in selecting books, toys and programming?
RSVP online by Wednesday, March 22.
MOMS is a program in the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women for all members of the CWRU community (student, staff and faculty), regardless of gender, sexuality or family status, who are interested in sharing resources and offering support for all families in our community.
