On Friday, April 20, Mistletoe Residential College will sponsor Case for Kids Day, a half-day college visit for fifth graders in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The objective of this day is to expose the CMSD students to college life.
Current research posits that students make the decision to attend college during the fourth and fifth grade years; through the event, organizers hope to expose CMSD students to college and college and encourage them to consider college as a future option.
The day will include a career/majors fair, a mini-class, recess and a tour of the NRV residence halls. Students will be served a hot lunch and the entire day is free of charge to the schools.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.; volunteers will be needed in shifts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
