Mental Health First Aid training teaches individuals how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The Greek Like office will hold a virtual Mental Health First Aid training session Saturday, Nov. 7, to inform students about various mental health issues and ways to approach them.
This training is in two parts, an independent portion lasting approximately two hours and a five-and-a-half hour live virtual session. This six-and-a-half hour training gives adults the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
