A memorial service for Edmond Jenkins will be held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 18 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church (2172 E. 49th St. in Cleveland, just south of Cedar Avenue).
Jenkins, an emeritus professor at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, died Aug. 4. He taught at the Mandel School from 1969 until his retirement in 1992. During his time at Case Western Reserve, he directed “Project Go” and donated the first audio-visual materials to the Lillian F. & Milford J. Harris Library.
Jenkins was named “Outstanding Teacher” in 1982. He held dual degrees from Case Western Reserve University: a Master of Arts degree in theater from the College of Arts and Sciences and a Master of Science in Social Administration from the School of Applied Social Sciences.
