Tony Tasset, the Chicago-based artist whose work will be placed in Toby’s Plaza this summer, will discuss the motivation behind Judy’s Hand Pavilion and its design. The talk will take place Wednesday, April 11, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Kelvin Smith Library’s Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship.
Barney Taxel, a part-time lecturer for the Department of Art History and Art, and members of FRONT International, which will bring the sculpture to Uptown, also will participate.
The talk will be followed by a reception.
The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Art History and Art, Kelvin Smith Library, Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities and the Putnam Collection.
