WiredSanjay Rajagopalan, director of the Cardiovascular Research Institute, called the results of a new study “very exciting” after it showed a single infusion of a novel gene-editing treatment can reduce cholesterol, the fatty substance that clogs and hardens arteries over time. Rajagopalan was not involved in the study.
