Med’s Ryan Marino comments on national shortage of ADHD medications

Parents reeling as ADHD drug shortage stretching into 10th month collides with starting school
SalonRyan Marino, assistant professor at the School of Medicine, discussed the national shortage of ADHD medications, noting that as providers turn to alternative treatments, other drugs, are becoming harder to find, too. “Not only have people been cut off of their medications, which can be uncomfortable and miserable in itself,” Marino said. “Now there are these secondhand shortages, so even people who weren’t taking Adderall are having a difficult time getting their other medications.”
