Can a shot to prevent HIV make a dent in America’s epidemic?
U.S. News & World ReportLaura Mintz, assistant professor at the School of Medicine, said that to boost access to HIV prevention medication, it should be available in more locations, including primary care clinics and community health centers—not just LGBTQ-specialty clinics. “There needs to be a couple of levers that need to be pulled for everybody to access PrEP who are eligible to access PrEP,” Mintz said.
