Smoking is taking years off the lives of Clevelanders. City council wants to snuff out the smokes
WOIO: Erika Trapl, director of the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods at the School of Medicine, said a new law that prohibits new vape shops to open within 2 miles of any existing vape shop, is a good starting point to cutting down on the number of young smokers in the city. “Where we see some stubborn sticking points with vape use and what the kids are telling us in our surveys every year, is that nearly a quarter of them are purchasing them themselves at stores,” Trapl said.
