WKYCDennis Bourbeau, assistant professor at the School of Medicine, discussed his research aimed at giving those with paralysis more bodily control—and recently helped a South Carolina man participate in the Cleveland Marathon. “The goal is to increase dignity, to increase independence, and to see these successes puts a wind in our sails,” Bourbeau noted. “It’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.”
