Med’s Alberto Montero discusses study about medicine which leads to reduced risk of returning breast cancer

Drug cuts risk of breast cancer recurrence for some early-stage patients, trial shows
CNNAlberto Montero, professor at the School of Medicine, discussed a new study that showed a drug used in people in the early stage of the most common kind of breast cancer reduced the risk of the cancer returning after treatment, calling the work a “significant advance” with “very significant results.” But, he noted, “most progress in oncology—and especially in breast cancer—is really incremental, and that’s OK.”
