Meditation, stress management series available for benefits-eligible faculty, staff

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in two upcoming series on meditation and Stress Management and Resilience Training (S.M.A.R.T.).

Practicing meditation regularly can help reduce stress, improve focus and concentration, and improve general wellness leading to greater workplace productivity. During the four-week meditation series, an experienced instructor will guide participants in the art of meditation.

The S.M.A.R.T. series will teach participants how to effectively manage stress and improve overall health and well being with this eight-week interactive workshop series, created by the Connor Integrative Medicine Network at University Hospitals.  Each workshop will focus on evidence-based strategies for building stress resilience and proactively coping with stressors.

The S.M.A.R.T. sessions will run on Tuesdays, April 7-May 26, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing First Floor Lounge. Registration for the S.M.A.R.T. series is available online.

The meditation series will run Wednesdays, April 8-29, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Wickenden Building, Room 322. Registration for the meditation series is available online.
