Medicine’s Stephanie Teal discussed the declining birth rates in adolescents

Medscape Medical News (subscription required): Stephanie Teal, professor of reproductive biology at the School of Medicine, discussed the declining birth rate in adolescents. “Pregnancy is a time of health risk for women, and it’s getting riskier,” said Teal. “Our concern is that if people are having to go through a pregnancy that they don’t feel physically or financially or emotionally prepared to go through, that we will see an increase in these kinds of adverse health outcomes with birth.”
