Medicine’s Ryan Marino discusses police possibly overdosing after contact with fentanyl

Are police overdosing by touching fentanyl? Experts say it’s unlikely. People are being locked up for it anyway.

BuzzFeed: Ryan Marino, assistant professor at the School of Medicine, said that the hype around the perceived threat of death by simple exposure to fentanyl is harming overdose victims, taxpayers and first responders. Accidental overdose by skin exposure “is chemically and physically implausible,” he said.
