WOIO: Researchers are conducting a clinical trial to determine if biochemical markers in the skin may predict which individuals are at high risk for the development of diabetes complications. “Diabetes is becoming a global epidemic, and we are seeing children at younger ages presenting with the disease,” said Rose Gubitosi-Klug, assistant professor of pediatrics.
