Two representatives from Alvin H. Schmaier’s lab at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center were selected to give oral presentations at the 66th American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting.

Rodrigo Silva-Aguiar, a postdoctoral fellow, and Alessandro Pinheiro, a senior research associate, will talk about how Factor XII participates in the development of renal fibrosis, and how the contact system and the kallikrein-kinin system participates in the development of brain edema in cerebral malaria.

The meeting will be held in December.
