In mid-June, Robert Salata, professor at the School of Medicine, shared updates on the COVID-19 pandemic in an op-ed published by cleveland.com.
Titled “Three things to know about COVID-19 at this time,” Salata’s piece broke down the current dominant subvariants, vaccination as a tool to curb the spread and evolving treatments.
“As much as we all want the pandemic to end, COVID-19 unfortunately has not gone away—and won’t for some time,” he wrote.
