Medicine’s Reshmi Parameswaran leads research team applying new cell therapy to autoimmune diseases

A team of researchers from Case Western Reserve University published a paper about their work on applying a new cell therapy to treat autoimmune diseases.

Published in Journal of Autoimmunity, a prestigious journal in the field of autoimmunity, the paper highlights their idea to apply the therapy, which is used to target B cell cancers, to conditions with B cell involvement.

Reshmi Parameswaran, associate professor in the Department of Medicine and director of the Cancer Biology Training Program, and Vinayak Uppin, a postdoctoral scholar in Parameswaran’s lab, and Daniel Feinberg, a student in the Medical Scientist Training Program, authored the paper alongside researchers from other institutions.
