Medicine’s Mehdi H. Shishehbor discusses two DCB to treat Femoropopliteal disease

Sweet success for Chocolate Touch drug-coated balloon in Femoropopliteal disease

Medscape (subscription required): Mehdi H. Shishehbor, professor at the School of Medicine, presented findings from a recent study comparing the efficacy and safety of two drug-coated balloon (DCB) catheters, Chocolate Touch DCB and Lutonix DCB, for the treatment of Femoropopliteal disease. DCBs are “associated with minimal acute luminal gain because of undersizing of the drug-coated balloon to reduce the risk of dissection,” he said.
