Medicine’s Douglas D. Gunzler named 2024 American Statistical Association Fellow

The American Statistical Association (ASA) bestowed its prestigious distinction of Fellow on Douglas D. Gunzler, professor of the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at the School of Medicine, for his professional contributions, leadership, and commitment to the field of statistical science. 

This August at the Joint Statistical Meetings in Portland, Oregon, Gunzler will receive an official citation for his:

  • Significant contributions in structural equation modeling for the health and medical research community; 
  • Sustained research and collaboration advancing the use of patient-reported outcomes; and,
  •  Exceptional ASA service and leadership. 

Gunzler is also on the faculty of the Division of Biostatistics and Data Science at the Population Health and Equity Research Institute at MetroHealth System.
