WEWS: Darcy Freedman, the Mary Ann Swetland Professor in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at the School of Medicine, discussed a new study that examines food security in Cleveland’s Buckeye-Shaker, Buckeye-Woodhill and Central neighborhoods. “What this study really highlighted is how many opportunities there will be if we invest in efforts to really improve community empowerment and food systems work,” said Freedman.
