Medium: Amy Edwards, assistant professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine, discussed new research into childhood hepatitis. “While I think the study has merit (as a case series) I think it is too early to say that based on this study that COVID-19 or long COVID is a primary or contributing factor in the rise of pediatric hepatitis cases,” said Edwards. “Overall numbers are too low to say anything conclusively other than that this is really interesting and so should be on our radar.”
