Medical students take a moment to reflect on their first teachers, those who donate their bodies when they die
The Plain Dealer: School of Medicine students attended a special memorial service in honor of those who donated their bodies to medical schools to be used to teach anatomy. Susanne Wish-Baratz, assistant professor of anatomy, explained how when teaching, she aims to honor those who have made that sacrifice. “I begin the year with a moment of silence in recognition of our donors,” she said. “From the beginning, I want them to know this isn’t just another lab experience.”
