Medical student Chris McCulloh to become pediatric surgeon despite paralysis

Case Western Reserve University medical student overcomes disability to become a pediatric surgeon

The Plain Dealer: Chris McCulloh, who is set to graduate from the School of Medicine in May, is paralyzed from the waist down but is ready to become a pediatric surgeon—something he previously didn’t think possible. “I thought, ‘Well, even if I can go to medical school, I can’t be a surgeon.’ Surgeons stand up, you know. They all stand up,” McCulloh said.
