Medical school researchers win first prize in dermatology poster competition

At the 35th annual Meeting of the Ohio Dermatological Association (ODA), a group of researchers from the School of Medicine presented their poster among groups from other dermatological schools in Ohio. Their research poster, titled “Disparities and Trends in the Characteristics of Eccrine Malignancies in the United States,” won first prize in a competition judged by the ODA Scientific Committee.

The researchers were:

  • Raghav Tripathi, student at the School of Medicine;
  • Harib Ezaldein, dermatology resident;
  • Jeffrey Scott, assistant professor of dermatology; and
  • Jeremy Bordeaux, assistant professor of dermatology.

Their research investigated epidemiological characteristics of rare eccrine malignancies including survival, incidence and demographic risk factors.
