WRAL- Raleigh, NC, NBC-affiliate: Mark Cameron, an assistant professor of population and quantitative health sciences, commented on the CDC’s prediction that COVID-19 could come back stronger and deadlier in the fall by coinciding with the start of the traditional flu season: “We can not allow a new wave to occur,” said Cameron. “If you take these measures off too early the virus gets a chance to re-emerge, and the impact is devastating.”
