Music from forty-seven bronze bells fills the air around University Circle’s McGaffin Carillon during the Friends of the McGaffin Carillon in University Circle (FMC) lunchtime concert series.
The spring series will be held Fridays at 12:15 p.m. April 28-June 16.
Programs and other details will be on the FMC web site, www.ucbells.org. The spring series is sponsored by Mildred Russin in memory of her son-in-law, Leslie Woolf.
The 2017 concerts are presented with the support of the Leonard Krieger Fund of the Cleveland Foundation.
Visitors may pick up a printed program at the front or rear entrances to the Alexander McGaffin Tower and find a spot on the lawn behind the tower or in the courtyard behind Cleveland Hillel for the best listening without bustling street sounds. The programs are also available on your mobile device at www.ucbells.org. Free parking is in the Church of the Covenant’s front lot.
The summer series will be on Fridays, July 7–Aug. 25, with concerts repeated on Sundays at 11 a.m., July 9–Aug. 27. The autumn series of Friday concerts will be Sept. 8–Nov. 17.
