Mather Center’s Angela Clark-Taylor writes about helping students thrive after trauma

Angela Clark-Taylor, executive director of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, penned an article titled “Recovering Through Service: Meaning Making and Resiliency to Trauma.” The Journal of College and Character recently published her piece.

Clark-Taylor’s article examines how to help college students who have experienced trauma succeed. With this paper, Clark-Taylor aimed to fill a gap that existed in research on how student affairs professionals can focus on students’ strengths, rather than barriers.

Her paper looked specifically at a case study on a summer program centered on community engagement.
