Jon Husted says online address tool would have cut Ohio‘s provisional ballot totals by 130,000
PolitiFact Ohio: Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted said if a new tool that allows voters to update their address online would have been in place in 2008, about 130,000 voters who cast provisional ballots could have used a regular ballot. “I think it is a reasonable way of estimating how many voters would be able to take advantage of this if everyone who had a provisional ballot due to incorrect address indeed went online and changes the address electronically we would have about 130,000 voters,” said Daniela Calvetti, chair of the mathematics department.
