“Marketing Your Project; Marketing Yourself”

Join the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship for a Veale Skills Lab workshop on “Marketing Your Project; Marketing Yourself” Aug. 19 at 2 p.m via Zoom.

With your summer project/externship/micro-internship over (or nearly over) you may be looking ahead to the fall recruiting season. Having a great experience is one thing; conveying the value of that experience to a potential employer is quite another. Where do you start?

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to get a lot of mileage out of your relatively short experience by focusing on what’s important to prospective employers and emphasizing your impact—both on a resume and in conversation. Using sample student resumes (willingly provided), workshop facilitators will teach you how to craft concise, specific and impactful bullet points for your resume and frame your experience to suit whatever position you’re seeking.

The following team members will lead the workshop:

  • Maggie Smith, director of employer development at Weatherhead School of Management; and
  • Drew Poppleton, director of the Office of Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education.

Register for the session.

This workshop will be broadcast through LinkedIn Live on the CWRU Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship’s LinkedIn page.
